Straight Off The Coals

Seekh dripping onto live coals, malai boti soft as butter, behari with that proper Karachi-street bite — grilled to order over real charcoal at Al Muwaihat. No gas, no shortcuts.

13 pieces, feeds 2–3: 2 beef seekh kabab · 2 rashmee kabab · 3 tikka boti · 3 malai boti · 3 behari boti. Add tandoori roti (AED 2) or garlic naan (AED 4.50) and raita, and dinner is done.
Also on the grill: rashmee kabab (4 pcs, AED 26), tikka boti (6 pcs, AED 24), behari boti (6 pcs, AED 24).
You can cook a kabab on gas in half the time — and you can taste the difference in one bite. Charcoal does two things gas never will: it sears the outside while the marinade drips and smokes on the coals, wrapping the meat in flavour, and it forces the grill man to pay attention. Ours does.
The marinades are Lahori — yogurt and green chilli for the malai, raw papaya and dark spice for the behari, and a seekh mix that stays juicy on the skewer. Everything is skewered fresh when you order.
13 pieces for AED 45 — 2 beef seekh, 2 rashmee, 3 tikka boti, 3 malai boti, 3 behari boti. Feeds 2–3.
Live coals only. That smoke is the flavour.

Tandoori roti or garlic naan, raita, mint mojito — and a biryani if you're feeding four.
The coals are only half the kitchen — the daig handles biryani from AED 15, beef nihari (AED 20/36) and haleem, and mornings belong to the halwa puri set (AED 10).
